There are those special moments in life that you never want to forget and this candid shot of our 2014 Belcanto travelers at Chateau Vaux le Vicomte in France captures so much more than just the memories of a great day, it shows the spirit of what we are all about: creating one-of-a-kind travel experiences shared by like-minded people.
The choir had just finished a very moving concert in the great hall of this family-owned French castle and was posing for a group shot when photographer Steve Wylie unexpectedly turned around and snapped this photo of us - the groupies, family and friends of the 110 singers, plus two of our very own: Sandra and Ted, co-founders of iNSIDE EUROPE and iNCANTATO CONCERT TOURS.
An epic culinary feast of local specialties such as creamy, slightly stinky Brie de Meaux and lots of tasty wine was to follow, cooked by a local chef and served picnic style in the castle's annex. The day before, the 110 singers were the featured guest choir at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris on July 4th, after singing in London just days before that and with so much more yet to come in Italy and at the Vatican including an exclusive recital in the Sistine Chapel. While this combination of an concert tour and parallel shadow experience was one of our busier ones, it was also what Mr. Bruce Koliha had wanted for his farewell from teaching and touring: "It really was everything you promised… and then some! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU ALL.”
We have to say Merci, Grazie and Dankeschön.
