Whether it is your first time to the Eternal City of Rome or you are returning visitor, on our 2017 "BELLISSIMA ITALIA" milestone experience, you are sure to feel "royal“ at Castello della Castellucia, a favorite home away from home and part of the iNSIDE EUROPE sightsleeping collection.
Built on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa, between the 10th and 13th centuries by the noble Cancellieri family, and after a turbulent history, the castle has finally bee converted into a four star hotel. The setting in the countryside yet within the city limits of Rome and a short drive to downtown is charming, the ambience historical and romantic. The rooms feature antiques and are mostly quite spacious for European standards. Highlights are the views from one of the many terraces and the unique dining room where most meals are served. The friendly hotel staff will show you the way to your room at check-in since it is easy to get lost in the vast property with its many staircases - yes, there are elevators to and porter service is included as well.
Each room is different, so make sure to visit all your neighbors. Some guests will have working fireplaces and there is a small spa on-site as well. Everyone's bathrooms will feature the full line of Etro toiletries usually only offered in five star hotels. While the Castello della Castelluccia is not a luxury hotel, and may lack in some areas, it is one of those magical places that we believe will make your Italian experience alongside the LCHS Choral Artists even more memorable.
As a special perk, iNSIDE EUROPE has confirmed this amazing property exclusively for the „Bellissima Italia“ travelers to stay. Breakfast at the Castello is excellent with freshly bakes brioche and cakes, fresh fruit, local cheeses and charcuterie, gourmet yoghurts and strong espresso drinks made to order. Don‘t skip colazione (breakfast) here.
